Access to the Theatre
Supported by The St Edmunds Trust
There is step free access at the front entrance of the Theatre, the Box Office, Greene Room Bar and toilets including an accessible toilet. We have four wheelchair accessible spaces in the Dress Circle which is also the only area of the auditorium with step free access.
Please book early for wheelchair spaces – in the unlikely event that they are not available we will do our best to accommodate you elsewhere in the Theatre, or on an alternative date. Wheelchair spaces are not bookable on-line, please call the Box Office on 01284 769505 to book.
On arrival, all wheelchair users are kindly requested to inform a steward, who will provide assistance to your seat.
Please note that there is no level access to the Pit, Upper Circle and Gallery seating areas.
For those not able to attend the Theatre on their own we offer a complementary companion ticket.
An induction loop is available by switching your hearing aid to ‘T’
Similar to subtitles in films, captioning converts the spoken word and sound effects in a performance into text which appears on a screen on stage as it is happening.
Suitable for those who are blind or visually impaired, audio description gives you live commentary on the action happening on stage through a pair of headphones.

These performances will be slightly adjusted to allow a more relaxed, informal audience experience. Changes will be made to the sound and lighting to soften their impact and eliminate surprise. Theses performances are not bookable online, please call the Box Office on 01284 769505.
