Keep up to date with the community work undertaken by Theatre Royal Associates!

Theatre Royal Associates

The Associate Artist community programme led by Lucinda Meredith and Danusia Iwaszko is currently working with a range of communities delivering workshops and performances with groups including Womens Aid Bury St Edmunds (The Refuge), The Hub Befrienders Group, Focus 12 and Ipswich Suffolk Council for Racial Equality.

Working with young people, disability groups, survivors of domestic abuse and people in recovery from substance abuse, the program continues to grow and enhance local lives.

At the heart of this program is the understanding of arts and culture as a human right. And an awareness of its ability to create change in people’s lives. Through creative expression participants are able to re connect with their creative selves, their artist or creator self, and move away from being defined by the sum total of “problems” and ” obstacles” and limiting identities.

We are currently planning for future projects for 2018/2019 and deepening existing relationships and developing new ones.
