Work Experience & Training
Work Experience 2017
We are offering two weeks for work experience placements this year; one in the week beginning Monday 3 July (please note placements are now full for this week) and one in the week beginning Monday 30 October 2017 (applications will be accepted from the beginning of the summer term).
These placements are open to Year 11 (at the time of the placement) and Sixth Form students.
To apply for the placements, students need to write to Georgina Stone, Education Projects Officer, with a curriculum vitae (CV) and a covering letter or email, detailing why they would like their placement to be at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and what they would expect to get out of it: email@example.com
Please note that a successful application is also dependant on the availability of places.
Creative Young Associates
Our Young Associate programme is an exciting opportunity for young people aged 18+, who are serious about pursuing a career in the arts – whether it’s acting, directing, writing, producing, composing or behind the scenes.
The programme offers participants the chance to spend time at the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds over the course of a year, during which time they’ll have the chance to explore their own creative skills, receive industry mentoring and guidance from theatre professionals, and develop their own projects and productions.
The programme offers flexible working hours, encouraging participants to seek paid work whilst on the scheme (although during busy production periods, a more substantial time commitment may be required). It may be possible to commit to the Young Associate programme on a project by project basis.
