For ages 5 -11 years.
Extraordinary theatre inside a magical canvas dome.
Five interweaving stories, five small worlds, five very different journeys.
Step inside the small world of Mimika Theatre’s white tent and into an exquisite intimate environment. Meet five characters – a bug, a goose, a fox cub, a cat and a six-year-old girl – and watch their wordless stories unfold. Stories about journeys, big and small, stories about taking that first step into a bigger world. This is an unforgettable piece of visual theatre – a unique integration of puppetry, miniature landscapes, original animated film and music.
Mimika creates gentle enchanting experiences for young audiences and their families to share together. Mimika have been creating performances for young audiences for over 30 years. They have presented their work to children in the USA, S.E Asia, Canada, China and Europe.
Their work is thoughtfully considered and beautifully performed. It is generous and highly engaging. They completely disprove the myth that children have short attention spans and show by their care and attention to detail that if you put something intriguing and mysterious and gentle in front of children they will stay with you, fully absorbed…Brian Bishop, Warwick Arts Centre
You really do create your own world in that tent and it was a pleasure to watch.Nick Stevenson, Theatre Clwyd
It was beautifully crafted, everything about it clearly benefited from such enormous care and thought, and I together with the rest of the audience was clearly mesmerised by your gorgeous storytelling.Shona Powell, Lakeside Theatre Nottingham
