Costume Maintenance Assistant (Fixed Term)

An assistant is needed to work 14 hours per week from November 27 to January 19 over the pantomime period. This would be spread at two hours Wednesday to Sunday, 4 hours on a Monday and Tuesday off.  You would start work at least two and a half hours before the first show each day. (Some days the first show is 10.30am, other days it is 2.30pm or 7.30pm). Dates and times will vary over Christmas and New Year.

Duties involve:

  • putting the overnight washing into the driers
  • some ironing
  • running maintenance to costume each day.

The assistant needs:

  • good basic sewing skills
  • confident with a sewing machine.

Front of House Duty Managers (Part Time)

Do you love theatre and want to learn more from behind the scenes? Enjoy meeting new people and have some spare time during the week? Then Theatre Royal has the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for volunteers to join our friendly distribution team to help with the following:

  • Distributing flyers to the general public in the town centre
  • Visiting the local shops, eateries and businesses on our distribution list to deliver posters and flyers
  • Delivering leaflets to local schools on our distribution list (if transportation allows)
  • Helping to prepare mailings for customers when necessary
